Crime Victim Advocate
Description
Bachelors Degree in behavioral services field required. (AA with 3 years work experience and 250 Documented Training Hours in Domestic Violence can be substituted for the Bachelors Degree requirement.)
Proficient in speaking, reading and writing both English and Spanish
Registered as a Counselor in the State of Washington ( or obtained after 30 days of hiring)
Access to reliable transportation and a valid Washington State Driver s license required.
Experience with the Criminal Justice System and victims of crimes other than sexual assault or domestic violence preferred
Provides direct client services to Latino victims of general crimes to include serving as a liaison between the victim, criminal justice system and community resources. Services will be provided in a holistic and culturally sensitive process, which promotes the dignity, respect, safety and maximum optimal functioning of the individual. |
