One of the largest customers of Google, Yahoo, and MSN, SEO/Search is a critical component to our business. We are looking for an experienced professional to help shape the future of our worldwide SEO/Search strategy. As the Expedia North American SEO/Search Product Manager you would own the strategy, trade-offs, and prioritization of our SEO/Search initiatives collaborating with our WW marketing leadership team. Working closely with our development team and business leaders across the company, you would manage the business case and requirements as well as the scope and phased execution of our SEO/Search execution strategies.
We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of driving business strategy and execution of technology projects, from concept to deployment, through the development cycle.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Work with the Director of Search Marketing to understand and shape Expedia?s SEO strategy
- Be the expert on internal and competitive functionality for site search and search engine optimization
- Generate, collect, evaluate and prioritize search technology project candidates
- Create and validate business cases for projects
- Document business requirements, working with stakeholders throughout the global organization to factor in their needs
- Be the business voice for projects throughout the product development process, working closely with the technology organization, driving tradeoff decisions as needed
- Evaluate business performance of functionality once shipped
- Ensure that SEO requirements are captured and met in projects managed by other product managers
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters degree; MBA a plus
- Minimum 5 years product management experience (search and/or SEO strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully defining and delivering complex projects with superior ROI, from business case through deployment
